Discontinued 2 Way Radios
One of the discontinued Motorola Two Way Radios is the HT1000 Portable Two Way Radio. This series had provided small yet economical radios that were loaded with features. With its durability and programmability, made it a sure hit, especially with its operator friendly controls and rugged design. The HT1000 radio is considered as one of the loudest portables ever developed by Motorola. Improved voice capability ensured high volumes with minor distortion and minimizes background noise. Also it was considered as Motorolas' broadest band range that can operate from 136-174MHz.

Moreover, its channel scan monitoring allowed scanning all of its operating channels. This was able to scan for PL, DPL, Carrier Squelch, Quick Call and Stat-Alert Selective Call. Furthermore it can be configured for Non-Priority or Single Priority operation. The HT1000 radio also included a great and innovative Talk-back scan and nuisance blocker of channels by a press of a button.
